Following an afternoon in Muir Woods, we were looking for a seafood dinner with a nice view and found the Seafood Peddler on Yelp. It more than met our expectations. The view was good and the food was fabulous with great service.

Fresh seafood. Nightly specials. It's like visiting a fresh fish market thats also a restaurant. Casual dining, friendly staff. Our waiter told some great stories at some of his tables. Had everyone laughing. Decor is old school, lots of wood and marine themed. Had a hard time deciding what to chose for dinner. We had lobster, but will have to go back as the selection of fresh fish was endless. Place is relaxed, good for groups and even kids. Prices are reasonable. We finished with a pear tart and apple oatmeal compote with vanilla gelato. Would not hesitate to visit again.

Late lunch in the view room. The view itself is worth 5 stars.

We ordered calamari and both had the new England clam chowder. The complementary house bread paired excellent with the delightfully salty soup. The bits of clam were fresh and the potatoes were soft.

The calamari came with two sauces which both went well with the bites.

Staff was super friendly and knowledgeable about all the choices on the menu.

I'd love to come back for dinner and order some of the amazing looking crab.

This ended up being a solid choice for a meal.

The deserts we had were excellent.

The Fish Fillet sampler dish my wife had that included sole, Salmon and Halibut was excellent (her words). I had a lobster special that seemed well-prepared. Their Chowder / Lobster Bisque was also a good choice.

The lobster dish lacked the kind of flavor the rest of the meal had. This and a few other details where the quality of items tended to the average side is why I gave it 4 stars.

Overall, this is a great choice for a meal.

Like most restaurants, there is no dress code and it is warn and cozy.

The Seafood Peddler came by reference from a waitress at another location. I told her I wanted some local crab and she suggested Seafood Peddler. Awesome dungeness crab and oysters.

Very good food and service. Great view and location on the bay. However, this is a very expensive restaurant. A tip, leave the kids at home and save some money due to the high prices of the kids menu.

My husband and I been here twice and both times we rate this place 5 stars. We enjoy the fresh selection of seafood entrees and service is excellent. Also, both times we came for special occasion. First time was on Valentine's Day and second time on New Years's Eve and both time we got seated right away with no wait or reservations!

Came in on a Sunday night. The service was really good. The waiter was very friendly and even though there was a mistake with the order, he fixed it quickly. They are a very nice selection for their happy hour menu. We also order the fish sampler and it was excellent. My wife had the crab cakes and they were nice sized and tasted good. Also you get a 2.6 percent discount if you pay by cash so it might be worth it to take cash. Would go back!

Well, Valentines is the one night everyone wants to go out and it is also the one night things can turn out to be a disaster. All the other reservations at every place were taken. Went to the Seafood Peddler and got in on a last min res. The staff was rushing. The place was slammed. Everything was great! The menu was special. The specials were special. The food was great. Special Valentines cocktails. Everything was hands down great. Had the steak and lobster. It was the best. Will go back and will love it again and again. Awesome. Awesome. Great prices too!

Due to rain and a cancelled yacht, we decided on a lazy drawn out Sunday brunch and arrived here at 11am. Our server, Ben, chose a nook corner in the view room after we asked him to choose a spot for us. It was perfect for the meal we envisioned.
We were there just over two hours, enjoying the space to order our courses one at a time and relax with each other's company between. If you want a nook to sit side-by-side and cuddle up to watch the world go by with good company, this is the seating you want. Good luck snagging it if you aren't there first thing in the day or by reservation.

We had the caprice salad, a dozen oysters, the lump crab cocktail, a few side dishes, a bowl of lobster bisque, a fresh deboned trout, and chocolate mousse. The Blue Point oysters were really delicious and described well by Manuel, the gentleman assisting Ben with catering to his tables occasionally.

The wine list is a recognizable assortment of top quality and affordable selections. One of the best lists I have enjoyed lately, albeit a little predictable. But having so many quality choices you like is not a bad thing. We also had Cocktails and Irish coffees. The house Bloody Mary may be different than the specialty bloody, as mine was nothing to write home about nor as described in the specialty drinks list. That was the only complaint the whole meal, and even that was so minor it wasn't worth mentioning. I mention it here only for Bloody Mary aficionados.

Ben was polite, knowledgeably friendly, and able to read our mood and wishes very well. We were given the perfect amounts of both attention and space. He mentioned a great deal on Mondays if you like lobster. As it may be a seasonal special I won't list the details, but the pricing for a 1 lb lobster was more than fair.

All in all, we could not have picked a better locale in Sausalito to enjoy a drawn out rainy day Sunday meal. I have no doubt we will be back.
